1798

USA:

c. 1798: Average Weight? $1. = 0.866666665

New York: DuBois calculated the Dollar at NY£ 0.40 ; in 1798 T.D. DuBois charged Lemuel Wells NY£ 2.40 for 12 Tablespoons and NY£ 2.40 for 24 Teaspoons.  The spoon unit price was clearly the same by half, but differed by weight (Ozt.)

Where a 14.6 cm Teaspoon weighed ~0.55 Ozt, a dozen weighed ~6 Ozt.

Where a 23.20 cm DuBois Tablespoon weighed 1.9 Ozt., a dozen weighed 22.8 Ozt.

At assumed weight, workmanship on tablespoons was NY£ 0.1053/Ozt (=$ 0.2631)
At assumed weight, workmanship on teaspoons was NY£ 0.1818/Ozt (=$ 0.4545)

Spain:

S$ 1. = £0.15

c.1798:
L.T. 1 = S$ 0.2797 ; S$ 1. = 3.5745

Russia:

руб Acc. 1. = £0.10

High estimation, dubious.
руб Ag 1. = £0.1625
руб Acc 1. = £0.1186

 руб Ag 1. = L.T. 3.75 ; L.T. 1 = руб Ag 0.267
 руб Acc. 1. = L.T. 2.74 ; L.T. 1 = руб Acc. 0.365

руб Acc. 1. = руб Ag 0.73
руб Ag 1. = руб Acc 1.37

Russia/UK, c. 1840: Pound>Rouble Forex Cost

The Cost of Exporting Silver to Russia was 3.75%, but the overall profit (at the prevailing par) was 4.08%. The cost of shipping Platinum from Russia certainly entailed a similar cost, but with the same kind of offset arbitrage possible.
